Tapis

Tapis is Malay for “filter”. Type the words you want and the words you don’t, pick a language and a time window, and Tapis pulls matching stories from every source at once, each in its own tab as it answers.

Sources: 34 Malaysian outlets in English, Malay, Chinese and Tamil (crawled every few minutes into its own archive, so searches work even when an outlet blocks cloud servers), Bing News, Reddit, Mastodon, Lemmy and Hacker News.

Filters: include / exclude keywords, match all or any words, language (any, EN, BM, 中文, Tamil), last 24 hours / 7 days / 30 days. Save a filter in your browser or share it as a link.

Email digest: subscribe to a filter and get the matches by email, daily or weekly, at the local hour you choose. The digest is in beta and open to invited testers only for now.
